Waterborne Flame Spread Ratings

The waterborne products typically don't have any flammability due to the amount of water in the product.

For Flame Spread, The waterborne products are not flame retardants nor are they accelerants.  The waterborne products will have the same flame spread rating as the wood it is being applied to.  For instance, red oak typically has a flame spread index of 100.  The waterborne product being applied, in this case Traffic HD, would have a flame spread index of 100.

Typically, the next question is:  "Can I add something to the product to make is a Class II".  The answer is no.  There is nothing that can be added to make it a lower class
